MEET VANDA

Hi my name’s Vanda and I started my career in Fashion and Beauty and throughout my time in the industry I worked for several of the leading French Couture Houses.

 

There was obviously a lot of pressure to look a certain way - I was not one of those naturally slim people and constantly battled with my weight.  My work load didn’t allow for much leisure time but I realised that for me, the only way to keep in shape was a combination of sensible eating and exercise, so wherever possible I made the time to train.

 

Very quickly I saw a change in my body but going to the gym was always such a chore and more often than not I took the opportunity to run outside, still a little boring- particularly alone but somehow exercising in the fresh air felt better and easier.

 

After marriage and children, I decided that because exercise had always played such an important role in my life I would re-train in fitness and make a new career in something I truly enjoyed.

 

I discovered outside Circuit Training whilst on holiday and immediately realised that this was the exercise I wanted to teach and specialise in.

 

The main appeal with this kind of training is of course being outside…”somehow exercising in the fresh air doesn’t seem as hard”. Not having to “dress up” for the gym is another advantage! Who wants to feel like they’re on a fashion parade when they exercise?

 

My attitude to fitness is that it needs to be fun, wherever you are and whoever you train with; exercise is something you should look forward to, enjoy it while in action and feel great afterwards!

 

My clients share the same attitude, they don’t take themselves too seriously but they are all very serious about looking and feeling the best they possibly can, regardless of age or size!

 

I started Fitness Blitz in May 2008 with just 10 clients and now, although I have many more,  I try (and according to my clients succeed) to maintain the “personal” aspect of the training even though I train mainly in groups.

 

Originally the idea of the “Blitz” was that people would book a course for a month (no membership fee involved) and come along 2, 3 or 4 times a week to give their bodies a jump start. I am happy to say that generally everyone wants to continue long after the month is up, indeed many clients have been regularly since May 2008.

 

My biggest satisfaction is from those clients who have never exercised in their adult life but through Fitness Blitz have discovered the many benefits of training with a friendly group of likeminded people in beautiful surroundings in the fresh air.

 

I trained with Premier Training International, the country’s leading Personal Fitness Training School; I am a qualified Gym Instructor and Personal Trainer and was awarded an Active Level IQ Certificate Level 3 in Personal Training, together with an Active Level IQ certificate Level 2 in Gym Instruction. I also completed a course in Emergency First Aid which is recognised by the Health and Safety Executive.
