ABOUT EXERCISE WITH FITNESS BLITZ
Fitness Blitz is exercise outside in the fresh air which most of our clients say is more fun than the gym, less intimidating but more important than that the results are better and faster!
The workouts are based on the Florida Boot Camp system but no need to panic…..we don’t swing through trees or trawl through rivers!
The venues are generally woods and parks, for example Burnham Beeches and Black Park…..although in the summer months we train at Farnham Common Sports Centre too, which is circuit training, again outside but more “man made” props, like hurdles, cones and markers etc.
Burnham Beeches is a power walk with exercises along the way; we use fallen logs for step ups, fences for chest and arm exercises and benches for squats etc, we skip and lunge too. We concentrate very much on our posture when walking, keeping tummies in, shoulders back and relaxed, head held high and using the arms to assist with speed and to increase the heart rate.
There are many different ages, abilities and sizes in both Farnham Common and Burnham Beeches and everyone goes at their own pace but pushed to work to their maximum ability too. Some people like to run and this is accommodated within the session.
We exercise whatever the weather and sometimes it’s really fun in the rain! In Farnham Common there is the option to use a studio but no-one is ever that keen to go inside.
We promise you will have a fantastic feeling of wellbeing after each class….the group is always friendly chatty (until out of breath!) and happy, there is honestly nothing as good as exercising outside.
Nutrition is obviously so important too and we have put together an eating plan which some of our clients (who wanted to lose body fat) have done so with a high degree of success.
Each class is one hour long and for optimum results we recommend that you do a minimum of 3 classes per
week.
